HINOJO
Hinojo´s City it is located to 17 kilometers from Olavaria.
It was founded in 1887 and its name comes from the great amount
of hinojales that were in the zone.
It was the first Agricultura Colony that was in the zone, later
it were made Nievas and San Miguel colonies. The development of
the locality was due to an important factory that exported big part
of its production to others ountries and explotacion minera.

Altitude: 156,70 m above the level of the sea.

In front of the main square, founded in 1944, that has the name
of the Liberator General Don José de San Martín, it
is located the Nuestra Señora de la Concepción Church,
built by the group of nieghbuors. The blessing of this temple was
the 24 of september of 1933, it was built by the Giantonassi´s
brothers above a field donated by Francisco and Vicente Olivetto.
It work schools in the levels inicial, EGB and Polimodal and the
Popular Library Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, founded in 1922. The
Sports took place in Hinojo´s Athletic Club and Sports Railroader
and Social Club.
In the low and wet grounds you can find cultivos for the raice
of the cattle. Inside of the fauna of this zone there are vizcachas,
liebres, ñandú, perdiz común and colorada.
